Zero-edge allowance calculator

Every zero-edge platform has a daily cap. After you exceed it, the RTP drops — and you start paying. This calculator shows exactly when that happens for your play style, and what it costs.

Set your bet size, speed, session length, and weekly frequency. The tool computes how much of your session is played at 0% edge, when the cap runs out, and what the blended cost looks like over a day, week, and month.

How to use this calculator

  • Bet size: Your typical wager per round. If it exceeds the platform’s per-bet cap (Duel: $1,000, Gamdom: $100), it is automatically reduced to the maximum.
  • Bets per hour: Dice and Crash at full speed: 120–600. Blackjack and Mines: 60–120. Slots: varies.
  • Session length: How many hours you play per sitting.
  • Sessions per week: How many days per week you play. Used for weekly and monthly projections.
  • Platform: Each has a different allowance cap and post-cap rate. Duel Originals ($50K, 0.1% post-cap), Duel Slots ($50K, ~0.5% estimated — rate unpublished), Gamdom ($5K, 1% post-cap).

Platform:
Daily allowance resets every 24 hours. Calculations assume one session per day for weekly/monthly projections. Post-cap rates: Duel Originals 0.1%, Duel original slots scaling (rate unpublished, estimated 0.5% here), Gamdom ~1%. All figures are mathematical averages — actual sessions vary due to variance.

Reading the results

Allowance progress bar: Shows what percentage of the daily cap your session volume uses. Green means you are well within the cap. Gold means approaching. Red means exceeded — part of your session is played at the post-cap rate.

Session timeline: A visual split of your session into two phases — the zero-edge portion (green) and the post-cap portion (orange). If your session fits entirely within the allowance, the entire bar is green.

Session breakdown: Detailed numbers — how many rounds at 0%, how many at post-cap rate, the daily/weekly/monthly cost. If the cost is $0, you are fully covered by the allowance at your current play volume.

Who needs to care about the cap?

It depends entirely on bet size and speed:

Bet sizeAt 120 bets/hourDuel cap ($50K)Gamdom cap (~$5K)
$5$600/hour83 hours (irrelevant)8.3 hours
$25$3,000/hour16.7 hours1.7 hours
$50$6,000/hour8.3 hours50 minutes
$100$12,000/hour4.2 hours25 minutes
$500$60,000/hour50 minutes5 minutes

For casual players ($5–$25 bets), Duel’s cap is effectively unlimited — you would need 17+ hours of continuous play to exhaust it. Gamdom’s $5K cap is reached in 1–8 hours depending on bet size. High-rollers at $500+ exhaust any cap within an hour.

What happens after the cap?

The game continues normally — but the RTP drops:

  • Duel Originals: 0.1% house edge (99.9% RTP). The instant rakeback that closes the 0.1% gap stops. This is still among the lowest edges available anywhere.
  • Duel original slots (Groomer’s Van): A “scaling house edge” is applied. The exact rate is unpublished; this calculator uses an estimated 0.5% for modeling only.
  • Gamdom: The compensation that brings RTP to 100% stops. Base game at approximately 99% RTP (1% edge).

Strategy: maximizing zero-edge play

If you want to stay within the cap for your entire session:

  • Calculate your session volume using this tool. If it exceeds the cap, either reduce bet size or shorten the session.
  • Use multiple platforms. Duel’s $50K + Gamdom’s $5K = $55K of zero-edge volume per day, on different games.
  • Prioritize zero-edge games. Play Originals within the cap first, then switch to slots with rakeback after the cap is reached.
